Hello internet! I am Tristan, a music producer since 2013 going under names like SNZZZOV*EN, MC Trustan, No Curfew Kids, Skull Arcade LTD, and my own name. I began uploading my music to Bandcamp in 2015 starting with "No Gods, No Music Theory!", a demo release by a punk band I played drums in named General Disregard. I uploaded solo music there for years, as well as from bands I was in, until October 2023 when Bandcamp was sold off from Epic Games to a licensing company called SongTradr. Shortly after this acquisition, they fired almost the entire union who had unionized soon before Epic sold them out. I couldn't support the platform consciously after this happened, so I removed the vast majority of the music hosted there and deleted my label's page entirely. My music now resides on a number of different places online and in the physical world. I find that the short barrier of having to search for art is a very fruitful, rewarding task, and one that I encourage those interested in my own and others music to further do while subverting from streaming giants who are devaluing the art that we make.
My music journey began when I was a kid, becoming interested in it through mostly video game soundtracks. In middle school, I gained an appreciation for 80s pop music and general radio songs that were coming out around this time. In high school, I got into punk rock thru Nirvana, Green Day, AFI, and At the Drive-In and my world was forever changed as I discovered DIY and experimental music. I played live in bands starting in college, and have since played a number of improvised solo shows around North Carolina. I'm also currently in a math rock/post-hardcore band called Swallow These City Lights. I hope you find this site to be informative and maybe even teach ya somethin' new ;)
